In a forward-thinking move, Volkswagen has unveiled its plan to incorporate the North American Charging Standard (NACS) in its electric vehicles (EVs) starting from 2025. Transition to NACS
The upcoming Volkswagen EV models will be equipped with the NACS, departing from the current Combined Charging System (CCS) ports. The introduction of NACS is expected to bring about a unified and simplified charging infrastructure, making it more accessible for EV drivers.
Expanding Charging Solutions
Addressing the needs of existing Volkswagen EV owners, the company is exploring the development of adapters. These adapters would enable the transition of vehicles with CCS ports to be compatible with the Tesla Supercharger network.
