The new 2022 Volkswagen Taos is coming soon to Canada
Since the Golf will soon no longer be available in Canada, with the exception of the Golf GTI and Golf R, Volkswagen Canada is introducing another SUV, the 2022 VW Taos, which will arrive in Laval, Boisbriand and Blainville on Montreal's North Shore as soon as next summer.
Slightly smaller than the Tiguan, the VW Taos offers more than generous room with 2,817 litres for passengers and 795 litres for their luggage, and by lowering the rear seats, this volume increases to 1,877 litres.
Exterior and Interior Design
This new Volkswagen SUV offers no less than 8 exterior colours and a choice of 17”, 18” or 19” wheels, as well as cloth, leatherette or leather upholstery and a touchscreen display of either 6.5 or 8 inches. Depending on your model, you'll enjoy heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charging, a navigation system, a BeatsAudio sound system and adjustable ambient lighting with a 10-colour spectrum.
Powertrain of the Volkswagen Taos
An all-new 1.5-litre turbocharged engine developing 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, powers front-wheel-drive models, while a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission is equipped on models with the 4MOTION All-Wheel Drive. This system will be optional on the Trendline and Comfortline variants, but standard on the Highline.
Safety Features
The 2022 VW Taos, which you can see at your Arbour Volkswagen dealer in Laval, is equipped with the IQ.Drive suite of safety driver assistance technologies, which includes adaptive cruise control, front assist with autonomous emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind spot monitor, lane assist and rear park distance control, among others.
