The 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 is launching with only one version available, the Pro. Its base price is of $44,995. The AWD Pro model will be hitting dealerships at a later date, and its base price will be of $49,995.
With a length of 4,584 mm, the ID.4 is shorter than the popular Tiguan (4,702 mm) but it is slightly wider (1,852 mm vs. 1,839 mm) and lower (1,637 mm vs. 1,685 mm for the Tiguan).

With a DC fast charging station, the ID.4 can charge 100 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes, and up to 80% of its total range in 38 minutes. If you are charging at home with a Level 2 (240V) charging station, it will take you roughly 7.5 hours to fully charge the battery.
This SUV also features regenerative braking technology, which means your battery will be recharged every time you break. This system recovers the kinetic energy lost when you decelerate or when you release the gas pedal and transfers it to the battery.
