New Engine

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas family model’s upgraded engine features a four-cylinder turbocharged and direct-injection TSI, boasting 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque—similar to the outgoing VR6 but with increased torque over a wide rev range for enhanced performance. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard, like 4Motion all-wheel drive, across the model lineup; towing capacity remains 5,000 pounds.
